In individual, group or family therapy sessions, clients will be encouraged to:
explore beliefs, feelings, and behaviors
address challenging or distressing memories and experiences
obtain better self-awareness and understanding
develop a plan to achieve desired changes
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts.
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) – A type of cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT tries to identify and change negative thinking patterns and pushes for positive behavioral changes. DBT may be used to treat suicidal and other self-destructive behaviors.
MAT (Medication-Assisted Therapy) – MAT is one of today’s most commonly used treatments against addiction. MAT helps patients maintain sobriety for longer lengths of time while clients are able to work on themselves through therapy.
EMDR (Eye Movement Decentralization and Reprocessing) – EMDR has been proven to help people with complex trauma find relief. Typically, EMDR is not recommended until 90 days or more of sobriety.
